Using concepts from the classic Snake game, Snake VS Block is here to bite into your screen and not let go! It’s an endless running style game in which the player guides a snake of balls and break the bricks along the way. Go over a numbered ball to extend the player’s snake ball number and reduce the ball number by breaking the numbered stationary colored blocks. However, the player needs to constantly keep the number of balls on the snake larger than the stationary block’s number. Or else, it will be game over.
Tile Game – DEMO. My first attempt at coding a game using html, css and jQuery. It’s pretty random as far as games go and I know canvas is likely a far better choice here but I just wanted to see if I could pull it off.

Classic Snake game with a Modern Twist
No more making your snake slide around in circles and confined to the small game screen. Your snake is now able to roam around endlessly (yes, we meant infinitely moving as long as its body is long enough). The wall boundaries are represented by blocks along the 5 lanes on game screen, with the number in the blocks indicating how long your snake needs to be to pass through.
Fun and Educational Game for players of all ages
Basic math calculation is required for this game. If the length of your snake is shorter than the number indicated on the block, then you should navigate your snake to another lane and avoid that block. If you go head on with a block that has a higher number than what your snake length, the block will absorb all the balls that it will be the end of that round. Plan ahead and avoid getting into the sticky situation where all the blocks ahead of you have numbers higher than what you can take – the game is over.

Two different modes to play in
Play in the solo mode or guest mode and try to break your own high score. If you’re up for a challenge, you can also play in the Challenge mode and clear the missions listed.

How to break the high score?
Reach out for every ball you see on the game board
Since these numbered balls lengthen your snake, you will want them to be as long as possible so that you can break through any block you meet with ease. But take note of hidden traps as sometimes in front of those numbered balls lies a block with the large number which you may have problems passing through. So be sure to keep a lookout for your own snake length as well!

Aim for the low numbered blocks
Hitting the low numbers goes a long way. As you would not know when the next ball will come lying around the game board, you won’t know when you can elongate your snake. Hence, you would always want to have sufficient balls in your reserve (ie your snake length) in case all the options of blocks are high numbered. Use the colors of the blocks to guide you. The blocks are colored from blue to green, and from green to yellow, then orange and lastly red. Use the color coding to your advantage if you do not have time to read those numbers.
