Password Keycodes: Although most of the keycodes on Talos are randomly generated and change each time you start a new game there are a few codes that never change.
Note: This is the 2006 game by 2K Games, not to be confused with the 1998 game by 3D Realms.
Simplified third person viewNote: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the 'preyconfig.cfg' file in the game folder. Add the following line to the file:
- bind 'p'toggle pm_thirdperson'
Then while playing the game, press P to toggle third person view.
Simplified consoleStart the game with the '+set com_allowConsole 1' command line parameter. This allows you to access the console while playing the game by pressing ~.
Casino ModeSuccessfully complete the game to unlock Casino mode. Select 'New Game' and 'Casino mode' will be above Normal mode. Casino mode allows you to play the casino games in Jen's Bar.
Cherokee modeSuccessfully complete the game on the Normal difficulty setting to unlock the Cherokee difficulty setting.
